The "Control Flight Path" is an exploit that allows a pet class (Hunter, Warlock, etc.) to control the flight master's mount, much like a regular mount.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PET, YOU CAN GET A PET SUMMONING ITEM OR DO THIS...
"If you get the quest [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] he gives you a box and it has [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] just use it and abandon delete the other things if u want just use the orbs till u get much felhounds as you want they follow you for 30 mintues they dont fight for u its just fun having them around.."
ONCE YOU GET A PET HERE IS THE PROCEDURE...
In order to do this, one must first travel to an area with a flight master that has mobs close in proximity to the FM. (locations such as Zoram Strand, Tarren Mill, Kargath, Grom'Gol, Westfall, Gadgetzan etc.) ** OR ** if the player buys speed enchantment potions or buffs, they can try in many other places.
Once there, the player must find a mob that is relatively far off in the distance (past cast range is good enough). After a mob has been found, player needs to target it and send their pet to attack it.
HERE IS THE CRUCIAL PART. BEFORE the pet starts attacking the targeted mob (it is running towards it), the player must run to the flight master, talk to him and quickly select ANY location on the map.
If done sucessfully, the player will now be on the flying mount hovering a few feet off the ground. It is now controllable!
Here is a video I MADE for even further clarification...

II.
Things you should know about the mount and this exploit...
- You cannot attack while on the mount, however other players and mobs cannot attack you.
- You can swim in/under water and not suffer fatigue or breath (for a good while at least)
- The mount's speed is the same as your character running normally.
- When you log out, the mount will become fixed again and will fly you to the destination you picked when you did the exploit.
- When you move to a different zone the mount is lost.
- If you fall off a cliff on the mount you WILL take damage.
- Currently, no one has been banned/suspended for using this, however I would try not to make it obvious (unless you want a lot of "cool WTF teach me that!!!") lol
III.
Creative uses for this exploit...
- Go to an opposing faction main city (they cannot attack you)
- Explore (invincible to mobs and water)
- If you have money for only one flight but want to go to 2 places, pick the place you want to go to LAST when you do the exploit, then walk to the first to pick up reagents, fix armor etc. and when you're ready, log off and you will get the flight to the second one.
- Grief opposing faction by luring them into mobs
- Teach people exploit in exchange for gold etc. (not responsible if you get banned!)
- Dance on the mount! It's funny!
I will update this if ppl want. Any more questions obviously ask in here.

Dude i didn't steal it. I just expanded everything combined in my thread and yours. I didnt give you credit though so Im sorry. I'll add your name to the guide.
I came into this thread seriously read the flame the hell out of you for posting ANOTHER topic about the gryphon glitch. But wow, that was a really nice guide. Another thing you need to add to it though, is that if you use an item that temporarlily summons a pet (there are a lot) you do it.
Another handy thing to add is that once you zone, you lose the mount, this is especially useful if you want to skip all the trash mobs before instances, or if you joined a group in the middle of an instance and you cant make it there without dying, use this!
Oh how fun the 203,392,495th guide on how to bug a flight path. Oh goody and this one is so nerdy it makes me want to not do it all.
Actully its only the second. (using the method that really WORKS!) there was the original wiht very little detail, then a video, then this, a detailed guide.
1. You cannot talk to any NPC's afaik, I tried this on my friend's hunter in Searing Gorge.
2. While in Searing Gorge I decided to go to Blackrock Mountain, I entered it, and I did not dismount if thats what you meant by zoning.
3. I tried to "Zone" into BRS, and found you cannot enter any instances.
4. I jumped into the lava, you do not take any damage from lava, nor do you have any breath meter.
I was nowhere near a boat or zeppelin, so I could not zone that way. Instead, I had to kill myself, not knowing Logging out would take you off, BUT, I also did not want to leave Searing Gorge so... Go figure.
