Ice Barrier Absorbing more damage.

Hey there,

Basicly what you do is get yourself [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
And just use it before using ice barrier, it will make your ice barrier absorb more damage.
I have tested this with a couple of other trinkets, but it only seems to work with Icon of the Silver Crescent.

And how I found this, was by a mistake when i was pvping on my mage, and i popped the trinket and casted a few frostbolts, and the ice barrier after that.
Later when i tried to rebuff Ice Barrier while the old one was still up, it said "A more powerful spell is already active".

Ehm, this is common knowledge. Ice Barrier gets 10% of your +dmg added to it. You use a trinket = You get more +dmg = It absorbs more. Not an exploit, sorry.

Indeed, this is working as intended. Hence why it says you have an more powerfull spell on you when you try to cast it again when the spell dmg bonus dissappears.

This is false. This works with every trinket that increases spell damage. Just cause you noticed it with that trinket doesn't make it so. As mentioned, Ice Barrier will recieve a 10% absorb bonus of your spell damage. Blizzard made it so, don't try to slip out of it.

Edit: Nowhere is stated Ice Barrier gets your spelldamage, and spelldamage basically "Increases Damage and Healing done by spells and effects by up to...", thus not adding any damage absorbed by the shield. Sorry but this is NOT common knowledge.

That's what i was thinking too.
That 155 dmg can get taken away with a bored mage with a sword that feels like stabstabbing
