Shaman Grounding Totem Exploit

The Grounding Totem is meant to redirect just one harmful spell before it uses itself up, however if you lay one down when grinding mobs with the spell "Mana Burn," when the totem redirects the spell to itself, since it has no mana, it will be immune. It will then stay out, allowing itself to protect against even more mana burns, or a single damage spell that it ISN'T immune to. This is probably old, but I found it on my own and I hope this helps some Shaman that are levelling

Summons a Grounding Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster that will redirect one harmful spell cast on a nearby party member to itself every 10 seconds. Will not redirect area of effect spells. Lasts 45 sec.

Or atleast any lock dot that ppl throw on resto shamans in arenas.

you people are missing the point entirely. any spell that causes immediate damage will cause grounding totem to go away, instead of the buff disappearing for a couple seconds (as it does with dots.) mana burn causes damage when it hits UNLESS the target doesnt have any mana (such as the totem)

It's like, if the spell does damage directly to it.. the totem will die (only 5 health).

Mana burn makes mana -> damage, no mana, no damage, totam is alive.
All sort of magic spell that does not do direct damage on impact wont kill it either.
Like a dot, the totem won't die because the dot has not ticked, and it can't since a totem is immune to dots.

Also it will rebuff the grounding effect within 3-5 seconds.
