A little fun with model editing.  
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK 
1. Launch MyWacraftStudio.
 
2. Open Patch.mpq.
 
3. Navigate to world/wmo/PVP/fence.
 
4. Extract these to your desktop. 
The correct directory structure should be like this: world/wmo/PVP/fence . If you have to, you can create it yourself.
 
5. Open wmo.mpq . Find a small .wmo file and extract it to the same folder as above. Once you have extracted it, you need to rename it as follows: 
 
Alliance fence - ArathiAllianceFence.wmo 
 
Horde fence - ArathiHordeFence.wmo 
 
The files with 000 in them, delete!
 
7. You should now have something like this: world/wmo/PVP/fence and 2 files in that directory. Now, just move the whole World directory to your World of Warcraft/data folder.
 
8. Log on and enjoy.

abusing model changing will get you banned WAY to easy, and also model changing shouldnt be told how to do to ppl. SO DONT TELL THEM IDIOT! IT WILL GET NERFED!

Matt, posting such a step by step tutorial (I mean that makes it easy for anyone) is pretty lame, Model Changing informations must stay as underground as possible, and be not shared with anyone...
Any person who has a brain and is interested in Model Changing thing enough would figure out easily this kind of 'possibility' by himself.
The 'exploit' you give is just a lame (abuse) use of Model Changing, and the sadest thing is that you'll get banned (100%chance) and will push more and more Blizzard to do something against Data editing...which would be a terrible loss, cause Model Changing is best used for fun and exploration purpose, not for getting unfair advantages upon your opponents...

It will be apprecciated if this thread will be deleted from this forums, blizzard keeps an eye on forums like this one and nerfs all the bugs. (last patch nerfed the indoor mount posted here some time ago)
it will be nice if the model changing thing does not spread so much out, delete this thread please, do it for the wow community.

Errrr, but isn't model editing client side only. So it doesn't matter if you change the models, because only you can see it. Why would Blizzard care?

EDIT: Well I suppose they might care if you change the models of things for the gathering professions like herbs to make them more noticable.

Just caus you think you're so "1337" and you shouldn't have to share the information doesn't give you the right to come along and tell him to delete the thread. Besides, information like this and sites that host this kind of information can easily be found with google, so its not that big a deal.

1. they cannot be found as easy as you expect. EVEN you cant find a tutorial about it
2. this thread is public to everyone, blizzard can see it without spending 2 minutes to register. plus google spiders caches this page faciliting the blizzard's bots work.
3. treepassing the ab fence is a lame way to use model changing.
4. doing a tutorial allows to many noobs to massive exploit the game.
5. you cant no longer see videos about wow explorations.

surely if you encounter someone that shoots you behind a wall you go like "WTF HAX U NUB!11"
this is a big deal.

I'm sure over the past few years blizzards' list of contacts and websites it visits go a lot further "underground" (for lack of a better word) than MMOwned and other free to access sites.

blizzard used to fix harmful bugs, modelchanging is used to explore certain areas that sincerely at blizzard does not care so much. but saying "hey lolz with model changing you trepass wallz so imba! here's teh tutorial" is a lame way to use this bug/exploit to get advantage over other players.

or what you think they fixed wallwalking becouse of explorations video? no way, they fixed it after loads of videos exploiting with wallwalk in av, ab, and other things.

and so strange that 75% of bugs written on this section got fixed in last patches.

This isn't the only site that lists bugs.. Trust me Blizzard already knows most of this stuff. How can you trust that people dont bug report half the stuff they find on any forum. The point of this site is exploiting the stuff not to ruin the game, but to enhance your own gameplay.. If Blizzard never fixes this, then everyone would be stuck pissed off forever.. This way so what if it gets fixed, we all had to chance exploit it now...
I'm sure next week there will be another fun bug to exploit. No worries.

I request that you delete this thread immediately.

Model changing has already been nerfed once before, and it's fools like you who want to have information like this out in the open is what is going to have it nerfed again. You see, model changing can be used to do some great things, but cheating in Battlegrounds, or anywhere out in the open is what attracts Blizzard.

You obviously don't understand the importance of model changing, and the capabilities of it. Saying there will be a new bug or exploit next week is irrelevant. Model changing hasn't been nerfed in a while, because it has been kept under wraps by the majority of people doing it. I'm sure there are other websites that give this information out, but trust me, I've searched and searched in the past before I even knew how to model change, and there are very few websites. Your website can be found easily.

Besides, using Model Changing as an exploit is just stupid. Have you ever explored? Well, there is where it's useful. Don't get this nerfed for everyone else.

Chazwazza: No one thinks they are "1337" because they can model change. The majority of us who do it, who are concerned about this thread don't tell others how to do it. We do it secretly and enjoy what it has to offer.

Do you know how many people know how to model change? Not as many as you think, at all.
