First you will need Dual spex.
Okay this is who you will make it work..
Step 1: Specc in arcane to this [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Step 2: Specc what you fire or frost in secondary talents
Step 3: Make Arcane Potency to procc use PoM or get Arcane concentration
Step 4: While having Arcane Potency as a buff switch to your secondary talent
Step 5: have fun haveing one spell with +30% crit chance as frost or fire.
This is a minor exploit or bugg dont know what to call it

Actually it lasts quite long. I switch specs with my raid from Fire to Arcane for some fights and I get the buff even after I switch over once we down Faction Champs. It lasts up to even after we down Anub and then some.
I like totally didn't know some short buffs carry over from your secondary spec. Like there deff. weren't 100 of threads about it the day dual spec came out.
Well I don't know what you mean by short, but Arcane Potency lasts somewhere between 30 to 60 minutes when I was trying to time it after seeing it the first time.
As for the last bit, it's new to some people since I'm sure they don't want to look all the way back, oh how many months now? Yeah, they may be lazy but it's easier on people. Of course if you can also prove this is a repost that would be excellent and you could prove two things:
1) How much of a prick flamer you are
2) That you have no life but to do things like that.
Get over it or find the original thread.
For the record; I didn't know about this until I actually finished ToC 10 and left, then saw the buff. Had me wtfing for awhile there until I noticed the specs from my Arcane tree.

dident know you could change specs in BGs/arena, anoteher thing is, wont you be OOM just after the change, and with a 30 sec buff, it will take you atleast 5 sec after the procc to notice, then 10sec to change spec and then regen mana at the same time, it might work, but its alot of work to do just to get one spell with massive damage?

I thought abaout getteing the buff, changing speccs and then joining arena ;D but it doenst work this way
