extra mount with faction change
Hey,

Me and my friends faction changed a week or 2 ago and today we found a small exploit that can help with the 100mount achievement.

we went from ally to horde and he had bought [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] from the vendor, he went to the same vendor while horde and he could learn the horde version and the ally version doesnt get changed into horde.

so 1 extra mount.. we checked with other mammoth mounts but they all get changed into the other version on faction change

alliance one is blue and horde mount is red :>

So you're willing to pay 25-30 bucks to get one extra mount? That's not even worth it. You can buy well over 30kg and buy all the mounts..

No. If you're going to faction change anyway, why not pick up this mount so you will have an unique one on the horde side? Seriously, get a fcking clue man, you don't have to be a douche over everthing...

slaught is right? paying for a faction change for just a mount is pretty stupid. and if this is only about "oh look i got a different mount than you" then it's just useless.

Ye, at that point he is. But as mentioned above, if you are going to change faction anyways it dosen't matter...
And it isn't useless, some people have cash and don't spend it. But maybe they have problems achieving the mount achievements.

Yeah i ment if your gonna faction change buy the mount before you do so you can get 1 extra for the 100 mount achievment.

can anyone whos went from horde to alliance confirm they can learn the alliance mount if they already had horde version?

I dunno. "I have a different mount than you" is exactly the kind of exploit some collectors want.

Now... Look at the armory. Things that have opposite faction corresponding items are listed in the sidebar. Racial mounts are NOT included because it depends on what race you change to, how those convert.

But it sure looks like they forgot to convert BOTH the 200 BoH mount AND the 300 stone keeper shard mount from Wintergrasp.

And as far as buying mounts goes...

If you don't have any lucky drop mounts or mounts from game codes or the Halaa PvP mounts or mounts that cost over 2kg, you will be 4-5 short of the achievement. You can buy the 8kg mammoth, drop 15-20kg on a notorcycle and 16-20kg on a passenger mammoth.

That last mount is gonna cost 15-20kg IF you can even get it.

And IF you bought that much gold, you'd be looking at $90 minimum. And maybe a ban. And you'd miss out on the coolness of an extra mammoth skin.

Heck, I'd faction transfer 3-4 times if I could get ahold of a Horde mount like a Frostwolf Howler on an Ally toon. So for me, a Horde skin is worth it.
