If you go to netherstorm there is a town called Kirin'var Village and in this town there is the violet tower. In this tower there is a mob named Ar'kelos, he is lvl 68 and has 6k health. If you go in the tower you get a debuff that reduces damage done by half. But if you stand out side of the tower and attack the mob while he is inside your damage will be buffed and you will 2x damage to him. This way you can do double damage and screenie it to your freinds.
On my comp though after I did this a couple times and killed him i could walk in and i didnt get the debuff . Even after i logoff now it wont change. I dont know if it is just because my comp is like this is why im doing gouble damage. So if someone else wants to try it and clarify that would be great. thnx
(this is my regular damage) http://img256.imageshack.us/my.php?image=regulardmgub8.jpg
hmmm, it doesnt look like double damage unless you have a really crappy mage sorry to say. I am a frost mage and i frostbolt for 3k every hit... oh well, ill have to try it and see if i get some 6k hits.

Re: Double Damage!
message to ghost 111:
i dont think you make frostbolts for 3k every hit (assuming the mob doesnt have any vulnerability like curse of shadow, misery, etc) to get 3000 frostbolt hits specced frost, you should have approximately 1800 frost damage, which i guess you dont have
That aura is just for the inside of the tower. Its not a buff, its a debuff that decreases your damage by half while in the radius. The mob inside is a very very weak mob. In most cases if you try to pull the mob outside of the tower he'll leash.
So you basically figured out a way to not get the debuff and not have him leash, its not a double damage effect.
