YO, local neighbourhood thief here. I was recently doing the rogue quest in azshara when i came across heaps of timbermaw mobs, hgowever I couldnt kill them and they didnt want to kill me. You can find them in ursolan. How ever i think any timbermaw mob will do the trick.
THE TRICK:
1) Go to your character profile, then to the section with all your reputation.
2) Find timbermaw -> click on it, then check the box that says 'At war'
You can now attack these mobs ergo steal from them! Set auto loot on, place pickpocket in a easy to reach shortcut and go to town stealing!
the best part about this is the mobs WONT attack you, you can stand on them pickpocketing with out fear. THey only attack when you get resisted!!
Usual trash from then, coin, boxes health pots and more!

this isnt really a gold making guide, simply a safe place to farm for blinding powder and flash powder etc etc, i just listed the gold per hour as a reference for peoples information. Of course leveling and grinding higher lvl mobs will yield more golds, but this place is an untapped resource lol
Cmon pick pocketing is obvious, except these mobs are NEUTRAL so you cannot attack them off the bat, you have to set them to 'AT WAR' to be able to do so, thats all im pointing out. There are about 50 mobs in this area available.
USUALLY IT WILL SAY 'INVALID TARGET' if you simply try and pickpocket them without making the change
i think the best thing this would be used for is to lvl ur lockpicking skills, pickpocket boxes then lockpick them to increase your skills... so not too bad, plus rep from me (i think i give too much rep lol!)

im sure by the time the "up and coming rogues" seeing that timbermaw is n winterspring and to survive there u need to b at least 50+ (maybe a little lower) they would alredy b aware of pickpocketing, plz dunamis, think b4 u post

It's in Azshara.
I figured this out a while back and did it for quite some time when I was leveling. It's a cool thing, you're not going to get rich off of it but it will get you some money and rogue mats easy. Good for leveling pp too, or getting the dusksteel knives if you don't have them.

The point wasn't to let rogues know about pickpocketing, it's an area where you can safely pickpocket lots of mobs in an area with a small risk (on resist) of getting attacked.
