MY (Janzi9) VERSION:

Okay, first off here is the step by step guide.

1. Goto an instance that you can die pretty fast in by the mobs.
2. Okay, make sure you have your thing you want to disenchant.
3. Enter the portal, and disenchant your item.
4. Go aggro mobs and die.
5. Run back to the instance and your item will be back, and you will also have the essence/shard you looted before.
6. Disenchant it AGAIN.
7. Now you have 2x the shard/essence! O happy day!

MATT'S GERMAN/CHINESE/SPANISH VERSION:

1. go to the front of an instance (actually be inside of it)
2. disenchant your item -- leaving the window open go to the next step (w/ window open)
3. kill yourself and run back
4. enter the instance
From there do the following.. (sorry for poor translation from German..

Attempt - normal fragment in the inventory, Item goes away. 2 does not function. Attempt - Item and it fragments

Allowing you to fragment it 2x. (you will have loot from first time u fragged and died)

Dupe? .. I suppose.. but you could only dupe the items disenchanted.. so just imagine everything x2..

... How does this work? You disenchant it, you get the shard/essence etc. and then.. You get killed by an elite or something, run back, and jump inside the instance? What the...? I don't get it..

Yes. That should do the trick.

..And the item is still there? This is really.. wierd. It just doesent make sense.

1. /cast Disenchant on item.
2. Loot the essence.
3. Item will dissapear.
4. Go die in the instance.
5. Run back to the instance.
6. Enter the portal.
7. Item is now back in your inventory?
8. Disenchant the item.
