I just learned of this, if this is common knowledge or it's meant to happen dont flame
Anyways, I died in org when I got into a fight with an ally - So i had pvp on, and was walking into org from the GY just outside. However, for some reason i decided to log off, when i logged back in i was where i was but i was alive, with low health/mana. Dont know if this can/is meant to work with other cities or anything.

Probably not, as I was alive in the place i logged off dead. And my health was low, so if someone ran to corpse and exactly same location I was as a spirit, I would have regenerated some health/mana
This has happened to me before. I fell from on top of orgrimmar and ended up dead underneath it. I didn't feel like going to my corpse so I just logged off while I was dead. I logged on a week later and I was ress'd where I logged off.
It happens if you die in a city and you log off for a while, I dismounted at the max height over Shatt and died on top of that big building-thing.. I logged in the next day and I was ressed. Just intended I guess.

Mm, maybe it's to keep all those corpses out of the game. Would be sorta annoying if the alliance who run in and die on the Orgrimmar mailbox didn't res up and their corpses were left there for like a year. xD
