So if you dont have super reflexes with uber leet eyes this is impossible, and a smart hunter as said here just freezing arrow ress the pet. also when it resses its not 5% my pet got 4k when it resses, also as he got 17k armor so GL doing this, i wouldnt call it a exploit -.- |

The talent doesn't say "Resses your pet to full hp unless someone hits it really fast in which case it dies and doesnt come back", so this is definitely unintended, and an exploit. |

Like Mimiron's low range aoe in p1, or fires on hardmode, or Razorscale's Devouring Flame. The pet resurrects right at the place where it dropped dead if you click the macro or use it on the petbar since it fixed. Sometimes i forget the aoe is still at the place and it dies in it again. But i cant imagine that some player can target it and kill it that fast. |

So when you're up against a hunter, take down his pet - if he doesnt have a pet with heart of the phoenix well I guess that's just perfect - but if he does:
The pet will automatically heal up to 100% hp upon resurrecting - however there is a small period of time where the pet only has ~5% hp before this instant heal happens. Now if you hit the pet in that short time, it will die instantly and you wont have to worry about taking another pet down from 100% while its getting healed etc! I guess this mainly works for classes with high damage instant attacks, like arcane mages, rogues, retpaladins, death knights, warriors and hunters - but yea it won me a few games!
So basicly when the pet dies you target it and spam your instant ability on it to instantly kill it of a 2nd time when it ressurects! |
Hope everyone tries this so I can destroy them when they're trying to attack my pet. |

Reputation: 38 Level up: 54%, 230 Points needed | | | | I think its funny how all the hunters are like "omg hit my pet plz so I can keel u while u hit it!" - while what usually happends in our games is:
Since the enemy is a hunter, I don't go into the open on a map after him unless I know I am free to get away in someway and I have cooldowns to actually sit on him. During the time I do not have cooldowns like this, I pull the pet behind a wall and kill it in a few sec while the hunter can not hit me at all (because there is a wall in the way.) Doing this makes sure my healer can drink later on in the game, and nerfes the damage incomming slightly.
I find it funny how everyone is like "omg totally useless most hunters wont ress it when you're near omg kill my pet i kill u in 5sek anyway haha", whining about a post actually containing an exploit, while the totally useless posts containing like "lol did u know u can drink right after a heal if you were ooc before you started cast it????" gets at most one complaint, that beeing "repost.".
Either way I'm not going to reply anymore here, since what I say obviously is for no good. (Unless someone asks a specific question, but I think my first post does not leave a lot of room for questions regarding how to do it or something like that.) |

So your statement is invalid Mollymus, plus who would kill a hunters pet? The only time i would see someone killing a hunters pet is either from AoE or when the hunters FD'd. As others have said: Goodluck getting 5k~ dmg to the pet and also goodluck getting a 0.5 second hit 'after' it resses. |

Reputation: 33 | | | I don't know what all the fuss is in this thread. This wasn't a "discuss PVP tactics thread" or a "is it worth killing a hunters pet" thread, he was just showing something that you could do that isn't intended.
Regardless of what people say, there are some situations where the hunter might be stupid enough to let you kill his pet without being able to hit you, in which case if you keep spamming a hard hitting auto attack on the dead pet and the hunter is again, stupid enough to res it right away, you will finish off the pet before it gets its health back. I don't know why so many people are flaming over such a simple, situational exploit that could be amusing just in the hunter thinking "wtf" when his pet is dead so fast. |
