You need a Wireless Internet for this
So I was playing in AV recently then I used sprint and my wireless internet stoped but i still had sprint. Even though everything around you stops. I noticed that even though my sprint was expired. I dunno if this has been posted before. If so feel free to delete

I've been wondering how to create your own laggspikes, this is very useful indeed, as you can grab flag, enter laggspike, then when ur at flag, stop laggspike and deliver it. Other people will see you running real fast after laggspike and is thus dangerous to use. Also works with epic mounts and such.

Edit : Found this out at my friend's house, his internet stops every 5 minutes, laggspikes, dc's, you can't do anything, because your not connected to the server, and so, might cause deconnection. All active buffs keep on going and if ur lucky u wont get disconnected. thing is, U can actually get past mobs and such in a laggspike, I once was in SW with a lv 3 bloodelf rogue, I went to an exploit to get behind the bank there, landed on the wall between it, and a gaurd got up and killed me after a few seconds. I went back and I ressed, laggspike! I went walking thru SW, everything was frozen, so I went to AH and got up the balcony. laggspike ended ! didnt aggro anything, I wasn't in combat

A really helpful and well-thought contribution to this thread, not everyone has experience with this and thus do not know what it is about. My computer is so weird about it, I can LITERALLY go 5 minutes with out being disconnected, maybe more because I was finally able to fix my internet. (MACS ftw) so yeah thats enought time to go to the flag in WSG when it starts

yes this does work... or u could simply do this... if u have a buddy around or something... (dont need wireless interet) u can just have ur buddy push the standby button on ur modem over and over again... very similar to standbying in HALO 2

There is no place in wow where you could use this, when you are breaking you own connection, server and other players see your every move until you really disconnect. If you cut off the connection, of course everything freezes but that is because you can´t get new data from the servers.

I know this is kinda hard, but understanding some basics before posting stuff like this would be good.

The laggspike must be server-side in order for this to work, and working under these Really work the way you meant.

It does work, you don't always get disconnected. a laggspike for about 2 minutes will get you disconnected, but it's easy to fake.
