This goes along with a previous post made (thanks ds1343), upon further investigation it lead to something else that's kind of neat.

1) Make a lag lag macro similar to:
/mxc
/dismount
/mxc
/mxc
/mxc
....
fill it up 255/255
NOTE: /mxc can be replaced with ANYTHING of your choice, for example /a works as well.

2)Mount on your flying mount

3)Fly up in the air

4)Hold W (or what ever button you have bound to walk forward)

5)Spam the macro you made in step 1. I press it about 3 times per second. This all depends on how fast your machine is and how much lag you have.
NOTE: You will NOT see anything on your screen. You should see everything lock up (hence the "lag" macro). However, other people around you will see the results...

You will swimming in mid air in place untill you stop spamming the macro (once again you will NOT see the results on your screen, this is merely to impress your friends or those around you).

Edit: Tested this and DOES NOT WORK, if you have actually tried this before - and gotten it to work, then please tell me maybe how fast you spam the macro, and for how long. Also, are you running on the ground or flying in the air on your flying mount?

Requires some lag other then the macro to make the macro effective. you don't need to do /mxc, you could do something like /a and it would allow for many more in one macro.

I don't know, it works for me... I run at a constant 90ms ping and about 50 fps, not sure if this is really dependent on any more lag than the macro makes itself.

Edited it for clarity. Don't know how more clear i coulda made it to begin with... Guess you really have to spell it out for kids these days :P

ey. there is a simple way to make lag better. just head down to curse, get auctioneer, atlas, CT mod, a few other large mods, scan AH and your interface file will be close to loaded.

Second tip. head to videooptions, moe all thos bars to max, 85 Hz, an restart.

About a month ago i got this glitch after i got frost novaed and sheeped when i was flying (i was just a little off the ground). when i got out of the sheep i could swim around in the air and cast. The only down side was that i was going at the pace you swim. And seeing as it thought i was swimming i could not drink in the air.

It was fun :P

wowcrazy, that is a completely different glitch that i do believe has been patched (?) - hence the "not again!" part of the title.

This version doesn't give you controll of where you want to swim, and as i said twice; you don't even see yourself TEMPORARILY swimming in mid air it's other people around you who see it.
