Today i raided XR and i find this bug!!

SAP Bug

This bug req a normal (PvE) or a RP server and ofc PvP Off

You sap a "Player" or a "Humanoid" with PvP on
then u still got no PvP on!!

it isnt bug. u wont get to combat since u will go instantly back to stealth

Exactly.
Most spells that do not gain aggro, do not flag, for example, detect magic.
An exception i can think of, is hunters mark.

The sap itself, would get aggro.
However you immediatly return back to steatlh, so naturally, their can't be any aggro, it sees you as never in combat in the first place.

Sap doesn't do damage, therefor you won't be flagged.

neither does hunter's mark, mind control etc..

It isn't based on damage

At the moment, i believe this is a bug.

You are effecting combat, just however not going into it.

It COULD be, that it is seen as a defensive attack.
Mind contro and hunters mark are both offensive, you use them to do or benefit damage.

Sap just puts a target out of commission. That fact, along with returning back to stealth = no flag.

Just kind of a guess though.

Well is the thing that u go back in stealth and 'reset' aggro ... i see rogues doing this on pvp server in Area 52 and the guards won't kill them ...

It is a bug. Sap flagged you pre patch.

Stealth doesn't reset aggro whatsoever.
Ever have a pet attack you in stealth because the hunter/warlock sent the pet at you prior to you stealthing?

Vanish resets aggro.
Stealth does not.

yeah i saw a level 32 or so belf rogue sapping alliance constantly and never got flagged. She said it didnt work prior to the patch and she is taking advantage of it before it gets nerfed.

Heh, my friend does this in gadgetzan, and got other rogues to do it too, he'd sap a horde, come out of stealth, laugh, the nub would attack him and get dura dmg from being attacked by the guards

It adds damage to ranged (and melee) attacks. Offensive.
Unless you see the mark as a defensive ability?

Sap wont break stealth any more
we have talent called dirty tricks or something like that now will improve the range of sap and decrease energy need.....
so this is why u stay in stealth...
