If your group has killed a boss which drops the new badges wait until the other players are looting then loot the corpse with autoloot on.
It will tell you 'cant loot that item because currently in use' or something like that but every attempt will count towards the loot 1000 badge of heroism / valor achievement.
After some tries you will eventually loot the badge because no one else was looting at the same time so you have to wait for the next boss.
Yay for more achievement points. |

Like it or not, they're two different ideas, thus, not being a repost.
Also as said above, if achievements are really important to you, you could get your guild to use vent to help your achievement status. | |
