I was in MGT today when we were on kael and killed him during the gravity lapse. When he died the air flying aswell as the debuff still remained, so the door opened and the first thing i thought was LET'S FLY OUT! ;p
This was possible, so i went trough the air, higher and higher and POOF dead (pulled a group, f**ing casters >_<)
Anyway if you would kill kael just after he has his "Master, grant me strength" break you would have the longest time to fly around if this bug works on every time of killing during gravity lapse.

If it's true... it's also useless, there's nothing to exploit or whatever. All you can do it fly around and hope you don't aggro anything lol. |

This is confirmed that this bug exists because it happened to me once but it's useless bug since it doesn't give you any benefit at all. All it does it let you fly in MGT for a while and also decrease your health over time. The debuff disappeared if you zoned out. |

Sorry for no pics it wasnt the first thing i thought of as it didnt last long anymore ;p also soz if repost | thats odd. i killed kael twice yesterday during gravity lapse. once on heroic, once on normal, finishing out my SSO rep. And not once did this happen.

Reputation: 146 Level up: 20%, 565 Points needed | | | | Confirmed, this happened twice to me with random groups while I farmed the phoenix hatching pet, just as the OP described; kill him as he's flinging you into the air.
If you fly back into the previous open-air room, you can escape the instance by flying up over the walls. As long as you keep healing through the DoT, you should be able to safely land in the ocean below, and swim back to land. From there, you can try to get to where the Sunwell flyby cinematic takes you (I never got that far). Just be on the lookout for phantom props that you'll fall through.
So this is an exploit for exploration.

I have also had this happened to me. I was flying around for a good 5 minutes. I just had a little more success and didnt die. but you can fly all over MGT, its pretty fun. u can go over the invis wall in 1st room at start. |
