Now i've only tested this with a shaman, but im assuming it will work with any class with a shield. Now, this thread builds on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
But, his thread failed to mention how exactly how to do it. Here is a step by step guide on how to do it
1. Equip a 1 hander and shield
2. Get infected by a crate, zombie, or bug
3. Attack a guard, hit a player, anything that will get you killed. You need to die in order for it to work.
4. Once you have died, run back you your body, rinse and repeat
What this does is it keeps stacking the armor you have from your shield, and although you won't see that armor in zombie form you will when you become human again. Also, you can unequip your shield and equip a 2 hander or duel wield and the armor still stays

Does not seem to work though bgs (instances?) but it is fun in duels as well as outdoor quests and bosses and whatnot

I could be wrong, but I think this is just a different method. There were posts already about armor stacking, and resilience stacking and haste stacking, with the zombie trick. He didn't mention anything about the zombie stuff, because I don't think he was doing it that way.

First of all, you said you had to spam a macro in order for this to work. What you didn't know is that if you just have a 2 handed weapon on before you die nothing happens, you NEED to have a shield on. Second, you can't switch any weapons while you are a zombie so that is worthless. I will give credit where credit is due, in which case i gave credit to the person who gave me the idea who was the guy who made the [Shaman] xxxx armor thread, and since i can't give anymore rep today i will give him rep, not you.

i confirm it works for me but with my 64 protection paladin
ibecome zombie,die and return to my body.
before zombie i had 8564 armor, after the first death-resurr. go to 11480.
