Model editing idea (duno if it works) - 07-15-2006

umm.. In BWL u have to kill 1st boss to go further. Actually gates wont let u pass. If u try finding in model editing exact gates, and change them on smth that can be bypassed, maybe u can get through them.

I found out that such things as gates are clien side. Because when i went to deadwind pass with friend and try that exploration area at GY we had interesting situation. We everything did as in guide on getting there said. We went there, looked at the place and on the way back, my friend didnt see gates anymore. while i did. I couldnt bypass gates, but he could. I saw him running through gates. I think he had some error on loading model so he bypassed it.

yes, you could remove/change anything like that, gates, random fires etc. as all models and clipping are client side, but as Johnzzon said, the whole raid would have to do it. Pretty handy for strat when you don't have a key

If pro is the opposite of con, then what is the opposite of Progress?

Interesting idea. I know my guild would not even consider doing this. If your guild is looking into using this, this could be possible, you can change it's .M2 to a different .M2 thats small enough to go around...I'm not sure how I could find the gate...I guess i'd have to make a suicide run in BWL and take a look at the graphics.

Does Blizzard nerf exploits to put the challenge up to people like me/us to find a new way to do it?
