I don't know about you but, I'm pretty sure the first person you stick that SS to is not gonna wait 12.5 hours till he can log on.
That's why you read step 3. and the "()" under it and the last sentence of my post five more times.
Ofc you make a post in the guildforums or simular and preparing people week(s) before so they know what is going to happend and are ON to it. So they can prepare themself before and not be needing to loggin on raiding day. All members in my guild have atleast one 70 alt, 95% of the alts is atleast in karagear and each of them have professions to cover up somebody elses main, more or less. Still plenty equivalent things to do since to alts also can "do some job".

As I said, prepare before the big raidday. It's special, why would they not do it for the guild?

It can be, depending on what problem the guild have.

Wow you are smart. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] fills 28x Soul Shards. Let's say you have it.
Fill it up full.
When you have started SS'ing people in Shattra, after the person has logged out, go and drain a soul from a Dampscale Basiliskm, 50 years from the city. How hard can that be? Takes less then 1 min.
When everyone have a SS, you will still have 28x of Soul Shards in your bag.

Shards for SS not needed in bag as I explained.
15+10=25
You will have left 2 to spare..

Just a quick post before I leave, haven't thought it out yet.
Could you have a lock and 2 people wait in the instance near a boss, but in a safe zone and then summon the people as soon as they log on, then ditch the raid and have the other locks in the raid summon the last to people. If the original 3 were alts that is.
Sorry if it doesn't make sense, in a rush and wanted to get it out there.
The last guide that I saw that had this much effort in it was posted by Verye and Flying Piggy, both legendary users. +rep for the Idea, and the huge amount of effort put into writing this for a bunch of douche-bags who seem to be running a Flame-bot on their computer
When nihilum killed Kel'thuzad world first, every player had their own soul stone.
anyway kinda useless post.
No, it was done by Method to kill Vashj, back when she was still impossible to beat (Nihilum got a strange bug that took off half of her life, and method soulstoned the entire raid). Method's well... methods are what caused the "nerf" to certain buffs that are automatically removed when they leave your party/raid.
You'd probably be surprised how many top-end guilds have members with level 18 warlock alts. You won't typically see a 25 man soulstoning, but you WILL see a good 10 sometimes. It's not really new, but as you can see, not many people know about it.
We first did a 15 soulstone or so on an Illidan attempt way back... didn't really take that long to do but then proceeded to wipe due to miscommunication on who exactly was tanking a fire elemental. Ended up being a huge waste of 10 minutes or so.
It's very useful if you're pushing brand new content (as others have mentioned Nihilum does this), but not so much worth it if you're still months behind in content... probably in your best interests to just tough the experience out and make the guild better for the long run.
Guilds that need to go to such great lengths to kill bosses don't deserve to kill those bosses. Blizzard caters to casuals/baddies constantly. Just play the game, and if you still suck when you're given free epics, kill yourself.
With like 4 warlocks this could be done in like 3 hours, so this wouldn't be very hard to do.
I can't see what use the macro has? Maybe to speed things up, but macros doesn't work like that :P
+rep for the effort, too much for a this simple theory though.

I wish I had thought to post this. =( +rep to OP
Nihilum does not do this, I dont see why people keep saying they do. Most sunwell wipes that happen are a guaranteed wipe, and you can generally soulstone key people that are a high chance to die to keep the attempt going, without going to extreme ends of soulstoning the entire raid. It also doesnt work for sunwell to extend past the enrage, since most enrages wipe the raid instantly, or near instantly.

Sir I have been playing on magtheridon EU for like 3 years, and YES nihilum did use soul stone on whole raid when they world first killed Kel'thuzad, and so they did on vashj

Guide? Oh, yeah. Almost forgot.
This is NOT a explorit omg, how can it be?
Is it possible if someone could move it theguideforums? It should fit better there.
Btw, interesting how few leechers that have attacked and flamed this thread.
And thanks for the rep.
