This is a quite useful technique for grinding loot from a boss thats far in an instance. All you need is a warlock, and of course your raid party.

Step 1:Have one person die and get outside of the instance (should be the party leader)
Step 2:As soon as he's outside have all of the other players pull their ehternet cords, or turn of their internet connection.
Step 3:Have the party leader go inside, and then back outside of the instance.
Step 4:Have the party leader reset the instance.
Step 5:Have everyone log back in, and summon the party leader with the warlock.
Step 6:Grind to your hearts content

The only possible problem I see with this is that it might port you to the beginning of the instance, as it does when you get disconnected for a long time. (If you wipe on Drakk in Upper BRS, log out in anger and sign back in the next day, you'll be in the start of BRS.)

I'll test it out though.

Yes, if this works i will def. use it.. the best way i figure is to have some NOT running the instance (a seprate account alt, or something)

have the non-runner sit at the start of the instance while you and the party clear it, when at ended or wanted boss kill-loot-then promote alt at start of instance to leader, have him leave and every get their D/C him walk in/out and reset the instance every by boss relog/reconnect and wala..as many times as needed as fast as possible

this would realy work great for running through VC for barb or expcailly rarer drops like that one 19 cloth chest (only saw drop once in all my runs )

I've got a few questions, those who've already tried and succeeded might want to try answering.

I've tried doing DM north with this method.

1) Finish tribute run.
2) I as party leader run out of instance
3) instruct th eplayers to pull cable
4) i reset instance
5) partymates log back in
6) i walk inside instance, and realise all 5 of us are at the begining of the instance, but all 5 of us are in different instance..

anything wrong?

I wouldn't think so because as Coochie said, if one person resets the instance then he will be saved to a new instance, not the group. Thats sounds like what happened, but I have not tested it myself so I can't be sure.

as mentioned above with cruel barbs ... this could be even better when --- like go to UBRS get to draki , kill him , "reset" the instance , kill again etc just to farm the t0 chest or anything u need... it can be anoying when it takes 20+runs to get stupid lame set item so this would make it much easyer just get list of set drops and gogogo (the set was the thing that anoyed me most like 1year ago so thats why i mentioned it) nice find matt (if it works that i hope)

From personal experience , I can confirm this as NOT working. It resets the instance and ports the group members too the begginning of the NEW instance , it might've worked in previous patches , but not now.

Maybe Disconnected People wont be ported, that's why to pull the ethernet cable. We gonna see, i must lvl up my Warlock so i can port
