Inflated AH Prices -

Hey, I didn't see this when I searched. Flame me to hell in back if it's already been posted but here we go.
You will need:
1x Rare-ish Item (Preferably a BoE epic or very good blue)
2x World of Warcraft characters
1x Server filled with idiots
Steps:
1. Take your rare-ish item, for example a Shadowblade (epic dagger) and put it on the AH for a grossly overpriced amount (like 500g or something).
2. Log on an alternate character, preferably one that will get use out of the item.
3. On your other character spam trade with WTB Shadowblade, paying 600g!
4. Pray that someone will see your spam, see it in the AH for 500g and think they can make an easy 100g by selling it to you.
5. Log back on your main to have a nice 500g waiting for you in the mailbox!

yes, posted, and it doesn't work that well. It seems that 50% of the people are too lazy to check the AH and 49% are too experienced. The 1%... well... they're offline.
In the end, you just end up losing your phat 5g deposit *cries*

Anyway if people on your server don't check AH prices you can do it the backwards way - find a rare/epic item in ah and say:
WTS *insert item name here*
at an inflated price and if someone offers to buy it quickly grab from AH and there you have it 10G

LOL, I used to do this. I would get the occasional "Hey dude, it sells for less on the AH" and I would reply, "Damn, that sucks". But I would occasionally get a sucker and sell it.
