Corrosion Prevention Quest Easy XP (Not a repost)

There is a quest in dustwallow marsh called Corrosion Prevention that can be obtained as early as lvl 35 according to wowhead (thottbot was down). The quest gives you an item called an ooze buster. The point of the quest is to stand near a power core fragment and while its channeling on you, you use the ooze buster on nearby oozes which range from lvl 38 to 41, most closer to 41. Well typically you do this and the mob dies, you get no xp and can't loot it. Well the trick is simple, just tag the ooze first, then use the ooze buster, the mob dies, and you get xp and get to loot it. Simple as that. You can still do this even after getting the 10 oozes you need for the quest which makes this an easy way to get xp and some loot. Just don't turn the quest in until your completely done grinding on them.

I was playing my moonkin and found this out because I would hit them with moonfire to pull them over to me, then use the ooze buster, when I didn't use moonfire, or hit them with something I couldn't loot them and got no xp.

The only posts I found even mentioning this quest was:

Don't you get like what, 41 exp/kill?
That's what I got at 37 atleast.

You only get XP for the damage you do.


So if you only do a bit of damage, then you use the item to kill the mob, you get little xp.

If you pulled with a starfire, then used it, you did more damage, so more xp.

But still not enough to make this worth your time.....

eh, only 37 xp per kill, not really a exploit, your getting xp for the dmg you did.

I was lvl 41 when I did it, now 42, and i was getting 200+xp per each, with just one moonfire, and what little it ticked before they died. what level are you guys trying this at?
