Reputation: 5 Level up: 43%, 288 Points needed | | | Though, logically this is how its meant to work. The quest the higher level completes is above their level, it'd be red if it were available to them, but still it would not be grey to them, so it was intended for the higher level to get 3x exp.
Its a shame it doesn't work the other way round, I'm currently using my level 70 partied with my second character, she didn't get 3x exp from a quest so I just have her teleport the rogue which is the same level as her to her and hand in like 10 quests at a time, which usually gives me 2 levels, then I can give a level to the rogue  |

This post was great and is all very very true, thank you. Seeing this thread also gave me a good idea on how to get ready for WOTLK.
As described in other threads you can recruit yourself on a second e-mail and make a 10-day trial account with that key. This can be great for startup multi-boxers and a free level 60 toon of your choice (after some effort of course). Let's say I'm wanting at least a levl 60 warlock, hunter, rogue, shaman, and paladin before WOTLK. On your acount make a character and on the trial make another to run with it, I will use the warlock/hunter example. Your account = warlock (brain toon), trial = hunter. Use multiboxing to run these two from level 1-20 (20 is the max cap of a trial account) in a single day easily. we will stop here for a moment because if you complete quests with the level 20 trial character you will get the triple experience rewarded as triple silver usually. This took a quest reward from 2450 xp, 7 silver up to 57 silver and some copper. This is decent lowbie funds for completeing a run here talk to this guy quest.
Now you can either raise a couple of either toon sor get a normal $20 WoW CD key and keep going with the walock/hunter combo. I level a shaman/rogue combo to 20 also and then picked up the $20 key today. Now that you have two trial account characters at level 20 you can make a paladin at level 1 and each trial character gives that paladin 10 levels free, so a level 20 paladin now. Run your two combos up to level 60 and gift the paladin the other 40 levels. And your done! With the solid leveling guides/capabilities out there you can easily have 5 new level 60s in two months of casual play and be ready for WOTLK.
Easier to read version:
1) go to acct. management and send yourself an invite to a different email address of yours (not one associated with your current WoW account).
2) sign up the 10 day free trial.
3) make a warlock, shaman, and paladin on your account.
4) make a hunter and rogue on trial account.
5) Start up multi-boxing software and level 2 characters at a time to level 20 then pick up normal WoW cd key.
6) level your combos to 60 and gift 30 levels from the hunter to your paladin, then use the rogue to gift 30 levels to the paladin.
7) enjoy!
This will also score you a free zhevra mount since you will msot likely pay for two months on the trial, or just use a gamecard when registering the WoW cd key. Thank you to the original poster of this thread for sparking this idea, i appriciate your information very much because without it I wouldn't have thought of this. Since Tuesday I have gotten my two combos (warlock/hunter and shammy/rogue) to level 30 and am sooooo glad that this is possible. Thank you and enjoy your day!  |

[SNIP] | Yeah thats pretty much what I did, I had a spare WoW key lying around, and figured I'd pay for a gamecard and dual-box, and get a nice new mount
I kinda stopped the multiboxing a little, instead I group my level 19 shammy (on a seperate account) with my level 70, do around 10 quests, log into my level 16 shammy (on my main account), group them together and summon the level 16 to the hand in points.
Just blasting through the levels  |
