Doesn't this open a situation where Mailinator might get LOTS of email that no one cares about?
Yup - Mailinator gets many millions of emails per day. Its important you know that any email that gets sent to Mailinator will only last a few hours. After that time, it will be auto-deleted.

Do you honestly think, that Blizzard would be so simple and un-insightful as to not foresee these so-called "Exploits" and not be protected against them?
And secondly, why would you lie about receiving beta keys if you weren't trying to prove a bullshit theory?

OMFG I can't beleive you fell for this.
this post says truth (expect about the beta start):
------------------
you need a TBC enabled WoW acct to be eligible for the beta test. period end of story. The theory that you are entered when you sign up for (free and unlimited) accounts at blizzard.com or the Blizz store is crap: yes there is a beta opt-in checkbox, along with "receive blizz news", etc. - DOES NOT MEAN WOTLK BETA. says "future blizzard game".
However there is a very nice Beta FAQ out that states clearly, right at the top:
Q: Who is eligible for the Wrath of the Lich King Beta opt-in? A: Any player who has both an active World of Warcraft subscription and World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade is eligible to opt in to the beta at ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]). The account must be active when the beta starts in order to be eligible to receive an invitation.
no blizz is not randomly sending out beta invites to 100,000s of blizzard.com accounts WHO DONT EVEN OWN WOW.
However if it makes anyone feel better to fill out 1000s of accounts - knock yerselves out free country
---------------------
Blizzard store account is in no way a WoW account. "Opt in function" when you register CLEARLY SAYS that you will be emailed when some OPEN testing starts. WotLK Beta is CLOSED beta. This opt-in function is just kind of newsletter.
wont work, blizzard is not stupid and i suppose they will not consider emails from domains such as mailinator.com as a viable email to send a beta key to. Its simple really, they just punch in that domain into the "do not mail" box and all random beta keys sent skip over such email addresses ending with @mailinator.com.
Not that its a bad idea or anything, you would just have better luck creating your own domain and have a email client set up so that it sends email from your website, other than a popular spam dump email website. That way you can also have each email set up so that is forwards it to your personal email.
Also, QFT.

Also you stated that you have gotten several keys so far. Thats a lie. As of 7/21 Opt-in keys have yet to be sent out for both US and EU players. Looks like you guys wasted all ur time creating all those accounts

Although this beta key idea is well thought out, the fact of making 100 emails to check for a beta key in the knowlege if that one even appeared it could be deleted because i didn't check while i was at work ect seems alot of effort.
