Old rezzer trick, avoid a wipe in most cases.

Before a wipe, the rezzer needs to hit Alt + F4, it disconnects you, wait until someone gives the go over vent and pop back on for a prevented wipe. This may be an old trick but it works if you see a wipe prepping to happen or a pull goes bad and an SS is down or whatev, just try this, you'll be perfectly safe.

No, you won't. Because your toon remains in game and gets WTF pwned. Your toon does not disappear for 2 minutes, and will not ever if you are in combat and alive.

Yeah, all you can hope for is that you don't have enough aggro, and that people stay alive long enough for you to get forced to log out, but if people do manage that then i guess it would work well

How often do you predict a wipe from 2 minutes away?

if their gonna last 2 more minutes, maybe if you stayed log on...you could help contribute and finish the fight.

I have no idea, could be something that you do though, be a life saver or something >.<

The MT dies, people can live a while, lots of healers, heck, you might as well do a 'just in case'

Not a "Aww man, we're dieing, alt + f4 guys", but more of a "well, it might work o_O, just one person do it"

i could see some places where this would come in handy,
for example:

MT dies and your group is near the end of the instance and starts running to the entrance, running can take a while sometimes and they GY isnt always close to the instance

Note that part of my post, you DO have to be out of combat like you said, but like others are noting if your an elemental/enhance shammy and the main healer or main tank dies before you go into combat, just alt-f4 out and avoid the chance of getting into combat and dying, allowing you to rez. I've found it highly effective in heroics when a pull goes bad. A lot of you are saying to just stay up and fight it out with no tank, and yeah that's great in 5 mans, but not in heroics when you pull 8 or your tank gets ganked somehow on a 4-pull. In that case, fighting it out is usually a losing battle unless you have 4 methods of CC, seeing as the adds crit clothies for around 8,000 damage per hit.

What I do to log my toon out of wow really fast is alt+f4 then log back in and log onto another toon that is on the same server. The best way to do it is open up another wow first, that saves time.

Re: Old rezzer trick, avoid a wipe in most cases.

Yeah, that would work. We had a priest doing it in Karazhan yesterday and it worked wonders on Moroes. We would pull, and if the pull went well, no breaks and such, we'd move. If not, we would have the priest alt + f4 out and back in....if my SS was down. This was beautiful for when repops had started in the halls but we still had time for another shot.

"Correcting" a mod makes me feel all fuzzy inside
Just quickly start WoW back up, login and get on a different char. If you do this before a sure wipe then you'll have enough time to still be alive.
