An earlier thread got me to thinking, and decided to post this.
About 2 years ago i was trying to make a twink and was getting pretty fed up of useless groups to the lowbie instances, so i spent a while trying to make a way of doing the instances in a more efficient manner.
yeah i know its old, yeah i know its probably been posted before, but i did find it myself, and i know this could benefit someone out there, that is if it hasnt been fixed ...
all you need are
1 high lvl ( A )
twink ( B )
friend ( C )
* Char A makes party with C (put looting to free for all)
* Char A goes to instance, Log out A (by alt F4) - your friend ( C ) can continue doing whatever they need to do, no need to help you, or even be on same continent.
* C invites your twink (B) to group, get (B) to instance and log out (ALt-F4)
* Relog (A) and clear trash to first boss do not engage, log out (A) with (alt-F4)
* Relog (B) and run to boss, again do not engage, log out (B) with (alt F4)
*log in (A) and engage boss, get boss to low health, (alt F4)
*log in (B), you should still see (A) attacking boss, now finish boss off with (B) and loot
* continue doing this for any drops you need, the trickiest part is logging from (A) to (B) before the boss dies, (alt F4) is your friend here, other ideal ideas for this are things like mages melee before logging, or unequipping weapons etc, whateve you fancy. i think its 20 seconds or so from hitting altF4 to you having to be in combat
im pretty sure this still works though i havent done this for ages as i have 2 accounts now 
this could also be used if you have lots of hig level chars, get them all into a party, and rotate through them each knocking a percentace of health off a higher level boss, logging in your "looting charachter" to finish him off, ive actually just thought of that whilst typing, so could somebody try it out as i only have 1 high level :P

Or then I didn't understand at all. I'm kinda tired at the moment.

Reputation: 5 | | As i said your friend doesnt need to help you, just be in your group, therefore they arent "wasting" time helping you, they can still do whatever they want.
To the guy who asked me to delete thread, i appreciate this has been posted before, as i posted it myself in response to a thread 2 years ago, but i think its best i leave it, as from early responses some people didnt know this, tho some do, im not looking for rep, i really couldnt care less tbh, i just want to share what i know.
people dnt just sit and think "ooh i know ill search for this" id say at least 80% of readers on this site, see a thread that interests them and it pricks their imagination, as i hope this thread does. A lot of things i have learnt from this site is by just clicking on a thread i wouldnt have even thought of.

well Cromat, if you feel so strongly about deleteing this thread (which is all u seem to suggest on most threads lately) delete it yourself, im leaving it up to help people, if mmowned dnt like it they can delete it, i really dont care im just helping people.
and if people have nothing constructive to say, rather than just flaming, keep quiet.

Reputation: 24 | | | Easier method (which would also be a repost), is to have your friend clear up to the boss. You run into the instance and die near the boss. Put it on master looter and have your friend kill the boss and loot items to you. This way you get all the loots and 0 xp. Seems quite a bit simpler. |

Reputation: 5 | | yeah simpler i agree, but that way u need your friend to physicaly be there helping you, at least this way your not constantly asking for boosts.

but again, new people are picking up this game all the time, and what seems obvious to us, is something useful to them, but due to the elitist attitudes of some poeple, they are unable to grasp the concept.

Reputation: 24 | | | Oh I understand what you're saying now. You can use your own high-level character to clear up to the boss and get the boss down to low health, before logging into your twink. I've used this same type of trick to open portals for my alts, using my Mage. Only problem I see is that when you solo a boss as a low level you get a TON of XP, and especially with the decreased XP to level, it's going to be hard to get all the drops you need as a twink, without leveling out of the bracket. |

1.
Rules are rules and if you dont accept them, leave this forum.
2.
I agree to you that newbies join the game and they dont know about former exploits.
But what are we supposed to do?
We cannot post every single exploit each week again so everybody gets it.
I understand your position, maybe a register of exploits would be usefull.
But again, posting stuff over and over isnt a solution. |
