I think it could be useful in some situations :P so heres what I found
Requirements: - Warlock (enemy, you can get enemy warlock by duel)
- Yourself
- Some time
- Cliff, or something to drop off.
How?:
It happened to me at AV bridge, when warlock feared me and I specially jumped off bridge, so my char got feared in air. It was wandering in "air" and after few secs it land at ground without fall damage.

either way you're posting something that actually is plausible.... good job? (still think it's useless though sorry) |

I know when i get feared, if it gets to an edge, i turn.. |

for example,
your two persons, you have a fall, you want to gett down
one of you are a warlock,
warlock /duel his friend
and when exactly when the fear is finished casted,
the friend need to just have jumped off,
easy ;= +rep from me |

2) Duel this lock
3) Stand close to a large cliff
4) Have the lock start casting Fear.
5) Jump off the cliff.
You are supposed to get feared while in the air and you will land without fall damage.

Although you wouldn't be able to duel in an instance...
Well, exploration wise you could have a lock and 2 friends jumping off cliffs when the fear has about 1/4th of the casting time left on the cast bar. Shouldn't be too hard to time out. Warlock duels 2 buddies, fears them to safety off a cliff, jumps off themselves with a soulstone, and then resses and they're then able to summon whoever else to their spot.
I guess if anything you could use it to grief lowbies. Say you're all 70 and find a little patch of safety off the edge of hellfire and all jump down with this method and summon lowbies there to either jump and die or rot on the spot (mad rhyming skillz). Then just hop on your flying mount and fly away.
Actually damn if you could fly there you wouldn't need to do this at all.... this ended up looking more useless than I thought lol.

The possibilities really are endless with this.  |
