I was levelling my pally the other day, and i decided to go get some AB boots, cos i was bored as hell of grinding.
I was pretty much there just to get the marks, coz the honor was easy to get.
Now as i was just jumping around and just bashing a few people, i killed this priest.
So i go to myself, why the heck did that person just die so easy, so i right click them and inspect without even realising wat i had done, and voilla there is their character info and talents etc.
The way this exploit works, is that when a HOLY priest dies, if they have the talent in the Spirit of Redemption ability, they become un-attackable and neutral to all. This means that blizzard interprets the ability to inspect them as if they were in a sanctuary (Shattrath).
Now this has very limited potential at higher levels, in fact at all, seeing as most priests go disc for arena, and who the hell heals in bg's ever.
But for the rare chance that a HOLY priest is against you in arena, or in a bg, u can have a quick glance to see what their gear is.

In arena you won't care what talent's the priest has once he's dead.
In a BG I guess it might be a little quicker than using armory if you wanted to see his gear or something I suppose.
Still something I never thought of or knew though... |

not exactly...
the holy priest talent is the only one you can do this with because hostile people you cannot inspect (pvp flagged people)
when you look at them they are still pvp flagged just unable to attack. flagged people are uninspectable so it is a bug... kind of |

atleast its not another repost, and wasnt inteded (only non flagged poeple like told earlier) and we can take a very small adventage of it, so its also in the right section.
and how many times does it happens that something new is found? |

It's not working as intended.
You can inspect everybody.
But you cannot view talent specs, items etc. while pvp-flagged or while inspecting a pvp-flagged person.
The AddOns do the same like the inspect-frame itself, but cannot show more than the 3D-Model.
That thing is in many situations enough to see what the opponent is wearing, but hey .... someone found a new 'exploit' or 'glitch' and that is everything that matters.
All of you want to have new exploits etc. but you don't seem to accept them because it's not 'good' enough?
Hmm...

Reputation: 56 Level up: 67%, 231 Points needed | | | This is not working as intended. Blizzard intended you to be able to inspect people cross faction that are NOT flagged. When the priest dies, he is still flagged right? Then you should not be able to inspect him.
Even though this has limited use, It is pretty interesting and it is in fact an exploit, so I'll you. |
