ok i have seen people who want to know how to talk in party or say or guild chat in other peoples names! well i have made a picture guide on how to do it!

let's start with doing names in say!




ok first step. say the message, as in a question like i did God? are you real? dont worry the reason why you say something and have someone say something back shall be revealed.



ok next, hit the space bar till your line on the talk bar is where my line is at in the picture i provided.



next, for say type [persons name here] says: then your message. not for that thing keep the [], between the [] add the persons name, then do the says: then type their message you want them to say. in my case i wrote [God] says: of course i am real



here, the finished product, look at it, you say something and god or your guildie friend etc.. will answer you back! amaze your friends by making them say they think you are sexy or other funny things that they wouldn't say.


Next on the list is how to do it in whispers/tells, this one is a bit different than the one above.



ok first type /tell your victim's name here



now hit space so the text turns purple (or whatever your whisper/tell text is) and type the message you want to say/ask your victim.



next, move your space bar to where mine is at in the picture, note: my cursor is pointing to it.



ok in this one hit the spacebar just ONE more time so it should look like above.



now type [your victim's name here] whispers: the message you want them to say here.
as in my case, my good friend, Damarus, i said [Damarus] whispers: of course you are!



now, the finished product, hit enter and watch, my friend Damarus wasn't too pleased with it, as you can tell by his ....'s, i guess he doesn't think i am sexy :-P

heh, i've known this for a LONG time, glad someone posted it. i did this once in WSG, acting like a hordie was speaking perfect common to us. a couple people were like "OMG report him now!" but i kept telling them not to...it also got one of my WSG buddys pretty mad at me...(she way fell for it and was trying to talk back)

because they are like "omg i didnt say that!" and then they freak out...hilarious

yes, Idusy is right, otherwise they will think something is wrong. I found this out a long time ago, and in my guild I changed the Message of the Day and then pretended to be a GM, it freaked everyone out!

I also did this in a group to one of the people, who was a tank, and made them say 'Tank's are heavy' they had no idea what I was doing and was totally freaked out and thought they were haunted. I was simply trying to breath amidst the laughter and rolling around on the floor

some guy was being a jerk to me and he wouldnt stop so i said thank you for your kindness but did the name thing and made him say horrible things to me and i reported him fo it and i fooled the GMs because it said his name and he got a 3 week subspintion (sorry for spelling errors) oh BTW i already new how to do that but still nice post

Drcar, I'm going to try that one, that is hilarious. I impersonated a GM, heres what happened when I tried to stop the stupid comments on the global LFG channel.

Cutekrystal: Dude, nobody gives a crap on what you got from murlocs.
UltiDead(me): Guys, take this to general, nobody cares at all.
<GM>Eyonix(still me ):Please take all chat not regarding looking for a group or for more members to general chat, or you will be liable for a permanent ban.

UltiDead: LFG SM!
<GM>Eyonix: Cutekrystal, the next time you log on you will have your account suspended for three days.
Cutekrystal: OMFG WHAT"D I DO!

I know I cut out a lot of things like the [4.LookingForGroup] and such but that was to make it easier for me. I didn't even get a suspension for impersonating a GM!
