Reputation: 28 | |  Keep Scammed Gold Even if blizz Takes it back
So recently i made about 3k gold in less than Honorable methods, i moved at over accounts and chars with it finally resting in my bank toon,, yesterday i received an email from Blizz telling me that 3156g was removed from my bank toon due to scamming blah blah blah, how ever just prior to logging i sent all but 300g to another char i was leveling, when i logged on my bank toon i saw that there was no gold whatsoever there, so thats 300g gone,,
but when i logged onto the other char (that i sent the gold to),, there was my gold in the mailbox, as i had not received the mail yet prior to getting the e-mail from blizzard, totaling 2700 or so, now i dont know if this is common knowlege or a random fail by blizz but it seems that coz it was stuck in the mail box it wasnt removed even tho the emial i got said it was,,
unfortunately this isn't something i can easily replicate nor want to,, but i thought id share to all just for you to keep in the back of your mind,
let me know if anyone has any experience with this sort of thing happening

Reputation: 1 | | | They probably thought the scammed gold was from the character that got the 2700g.
Also, Muskeljulle. They use logs to find out if the player was scammed or not. If there is not anything that shows that a player was scammed, they won't take any action. |

I'm not sure how Blizzard tracks such things, but I guess some GMs are more diligent, and check anything not yet opened that was sent from the scamming account. | | |
