It does indeed have to be an active character...Now how Blizzard describes your character as "active" I don't know....Maybe it has to be a certain level and played within a week or two of the down time. *shrug*

It takes the amount of time played on that character and compares it to the time required while still taking the level into account.

thats a good idear but it was fixed if i remember if you have more chars on 1 battle group i think it only gives you the extra time for that one
