You get matched to the AVERAGE OF YOUR TEAM'S PRs. not the lowest PR. so in your example, that's 1600 teams. When you get to 1800 and your partner resets his PR, you'll be facing 1650 teams. that part works, BUT, you only win a few points and if you lose you lose a lot more. So with your method you face lower teams but have to play at LOT more games, and win almost every one or your gains will be removed. How is this easier than playing at your normal ranking? Cause just one DC loss, or one real loss to a team that's also at lower PR cause of a new member, will wipe out 3 or 5 of your wins. |
Listen, if your friend has 1500 personal rating, and you have 1850, the average will be somewhere in between, ALOT lower than 1850, thus making you meet easier teams than you would if you both were at 1850 personal rating = Profit.
I dont understand how you can fail to understand this.
If you loose you go minus 20 rating most of the time = 2 losses. Not too bad I would say.
Example number 2:
You are both at 1500 personal rating. Team is 1750. You are just starting
You will meet 1500 teams. As you climb in personal your friend stays the same rating, because he leaves and rejoins each game. Eventually you will get to the rating described in example number one, and your friend will be at 1500. Dragging you down = profit.
