So, this is a little glitch I found today while doing the quest Zeth'Gor must burn. The downside: You can only use it 1 time, and it is infact pretty useless. But I've failed to stock 4 torches up, light them all up and run around like a pyromaniac several times just because of the stupid eyes and the warlocks. So, I thought people might enjoy doing this quest without the rush factor.

So, obviously, to start out you'll need the quest "Zeth'Gor Must Burn". Kill 4 peons, get your torches, light your torches. If you mouse over them, you'll see that there's a 5 minute timer. Alt+F4, then start the game back up. Mouse over it again, and you'll see that the timer is gone, and you now (should) have unlimited time to do the quest.

How did I find this? My brother messed with me, came in and Alt+F4'd me. Should never have taught him that. At first, when I logged in and saw that the timer text was gone, I thought the quest item had been bugged and that it was no longer usable. I tried, however. And it worked. Now, my only question is whether the timer actually is gone or if the crash merely shows it to be gone. If someone with a little more patience could try this it would be marvellous.

its possible that, like the Release Spirit static popup the game UI just doesnt check if it should display it or not, worth checking if there is still a time limit

That might be the case. Though I'm not sure if pop-up boxes fall under the same category as expiration times on items.
EDIT: Oh, I think they do fall under the same category since both of them require contact with the server (if I'm not mistaken).

Well, similar stunts have worked with seasonal items.

Doesn't seem like a tremendous outlet for stress though...

or..... can't u just put it into your bank and doesn't the timer stop ? I do that with Seasonal gifts all the time

That would make it totally unusable as you can't use the item for the quest objective if it's in the bank.
