First off, this does not work on ALL spells. It works on alot of them, and heres a list of the few that I know it does work on:
Lay on Hands, Innervate, Rebirth, Lightwell, Blessing of Protection, Divine Shield.

Its really simple to do also. You need either a player or a mob with an interrupt (Counterspell, Kick, Feral Charge, etc.). A normal silence will not work.

What you do is have the spell you want to reset on cooldown. Get a player or mob to interrupt any spell that you cast. Afterwards, just zone in or out of an instance, or log out, and the spell will no longer be on cooldown.

Easiest way to test this is to go to SM Cath and keep casting something until the first few mobs in there interrupts your spell, and then you can just zone out and your cooldown will be back up.

Its not useless. Having a every battle res and every Lay on Hands in a raid up during every boss attempt is VERY useful.

LoH is an instant cast, how would a mob interrupt it? or are you saying you channel a spell, say holy light, it gets kicked, then you zone out .....your loh would be off cd?

Have LOH on CD, cast any spell (not just LOH) and get it CSed. That's what I think he is saying.

I can see where this is going, I suppose the spell you're casting has to be in the same school as the spell that's on cooldown.

It is rather useless....If you're in a raid, what mob are you going to get to interrupt you? Hell, if you find one that's going to interrupt you, are you going to be able to find one that won't one shot you, if you aren't a plate wearing class. Then, what're you gonna say to your RL. If you read, a player can also interrupt you. You can duel outside of any raid instance. And who cares what you say to your raid leader? As a raid leader myself I really wouldn't give a shit if someone reset their cooldowns.

I am doubtful this will work. I'd need a video to actually believe this TBH. Seems kind of far fetched even for Blizz to put into their game.

I'm not sure this works, do no rep until you see a video or another player can confirm. This might be a bug relative to only one server, although I hope not.

Couldn't you just duel a mage on a run back after a wipe? I don't know about you but it would seem kind of helpful to have all your 30 and 60 min cool downs up. If it even works that is.
