Ok, this is a guide to get into the famously known Heroic VC or any other heroic pre-bc.

Step 1.
Get right outside of the low level instance.

Step 2.
Set the dungeon to Regular.

Step 3.
JUMP in and change it to Heroic right when you jump. Requires Precise Timing

Step 4.
You should get disconnected and it should have nothing for your zone. Log in and you are in Deadmines and go to Dungeon Difficulty and it will have Heroic checked.
*Note
I got disconnected quite a bit while in there. Right when I approached the bosses and targeted him. Maybe that means the game wants to set the boss to level 73, but can't. We may have something.

Maybe if you could loot them without targeting them...

@The Maffyx, you can not change the instance type if someone is in it. You also can not go in if it is set to Heroic without doing this.

If you go into an instance that's not normally able to be heroic, and kill a boss, it won't drop badges, it will just drop normal loot.

Yah bosses that drop badges have a loot table to do so, not just cuzz they're heroic.

A reliable way to do this without having to click the menu is to make a macro with the following text:

/script SetDungeonDifficulty(2);

And bind it to a key. That way you can just spam it while you're jumping.
