So it seems that if you queue with the "Join as Group" option (obviously needs additional people), it seems to automatically give you battleground leader status.
This is quite useless, I know. But I need a second source to test just because I'm curious
I've been joining as group like this for 2 days straight now, I've been battle ground leader every single game. Including being leader upon joining a half completed game. |

1) leader of the largest party
2) whoever joined more recently

Random < Person with highest honor that day < Person who is leader of the largest party.
When I would grind 10-12k a day on one toon, I would always have leader unless a party joined, then the party leader would get BG leader.
It used to give BG leader to the highest ranked person in the battleground, the week I was warlord, I had leader in every AV game. |
