So I was in Terokkar Forest and I was looking for the named worg you have to kill for a quest near Firewing Point. While searching in the area to the west of Firewing I noticed among all the purple Basilik looking mobs a Red basilik.

The odd thing was the mob name was "Unknown" and it was level 65. It didn't have a elite tag on it either. So I figured what the hell I'm gonna kill it. Problem I later found out is.....it had the hit points and hit like a 65 elite.

I'm a 65 priest and it took me every cooldown I had and mana + pots to kill the damn thing. It hits for 600 a wack.

But upon killing this mob I received Book: Gift of the Wild III
which happens to sell for 100g on my server, also another green dropped as well.

So it may be worth running by this area and seeing if this mob is there for some good cash.

I put this under exploits cause I have no idea if this mob is even supposed to be in game since it said unknown.

Well, I'm sure the Unknown name part was simply a error. You most likely came across a rare spawn, or a boss spawn with great loot. Or, you killed a regular, glitched out mob and got lucky...REALLY lucky.

Actually, just near quest worg, an elite 65 basilisk must spawn, he is also quest mob. He is named stonegazer I think. OP must have killed him, and got REAL lucky with drops.

And about "Unknown" and no dragon around portrait.. simple bug.

While i was in Terrokar on my 64 Hunt, I came across the same dude. Hes just a bit west of the village where the worg is. Me and a Horde guy killed him, he just dropped two grays for me. You must have gotten lucky!

You need to clear your 'Cache' folder to fix the unknown problem. and the purple basilisk is a rare spawn. so

Unknown errors could be caused by the Data in your WTF folders,which could be edited when you install a addon,or when your Cache was edited different when changed from a newer patch. So i'm not sure but I will look for this mob so to you.

Hmm.. in Zangermarsh are also mobs called "Unknow" I think its just a bug.

just go to your 'cache>WDB>ENus' folder in your wow folder.delete all the contents. then all your items/mobs get reset.(it downloads them from the wow server)

it worked for me when it couldnt show me some quest rewards. it should work for you.

The Unknown thing is just part of a lag or your computer is still processing it and blizzard made it all the creatures names when they're still processing it to prevent the game from crashing.

Nope, he is notm he is as rare as other quest mobs
