Might be a repost, but I searched and couldn't really find anything pertaining to this specific type of power leveling.
What you need:
Warlock or shadow priest(lvl 70 pref.)
You, an alt, friend, what ever, this paticular guide refers to 20-40lvl using SM:CATH, so any lvl between 20-40 is fine, though this works with other levels and other instances, its harder.
Heres my video guide explaining it:

Basically, you dot things then run out before they finish dotting, any person in the instance will get full xp, as if they killed it themselves. For a lvl 20, a SM:Cath trash mob is something around 600-1.2k xp roughly per. This may be common sense, it may be new to you, either way it got my alt from 20-40 in less then 9hours player.
Probably old news to any pre-bc WoW player, but to those of you who are new, its nice to know. Just trying to do my part in helping.

This doesnt work anymore.. I tried with AOE dots like seed and it only kills your target not that rest of them that it should aoe and explode so it kind of sucks.
so basically you have to put single dot on them.

When i was first trying this type of power leveling out I tried SoC too, soon relized it doesn't work. But after a couple days, I found a good combination of things where it was easily farmable, person stands there he doesn't get killed from mobs running back but still gets xp, max rank CoA with my s2/s3 arena gear on brings mobs down to about 20%, just enough not to run away, but enough where i can dot and tab before they die, mobs in the cath itself (not the court yard) don't work because they heal and mess up the rotation, etc.
Use your own advice before trying to sound condescending. PLEASE [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Nothing there, I searched, searched again, and to be sure, searched a 3rd time before I made this post.
Also, please read my post, I said, and I quote: "Might be a repost, but I searched and couldn't really find anything pertaining to this specific type of power leveling.".
and what's up if the low lvl die?:x doesen't attack the mobs the low lvl?
Well when you zone out the mobs will start to run to the low lvl, but if he's where I have him positioned, and if you're using max rank coa(or similar for spriest) then it should kill him before they reaches the low lvl, if not try telling the low lvl to start running a bit to be sure.
Gather all, use frequent ranks to get the mobs to 30%, use a good rank of Flamestrike, Frost Nova, run out.
I'm not familar with mages as well as locks, but any class that has a dot that does decent damage can do this pretty much(most class'), but the level of dificulty varries. I plan on power leveling another person from 20-40+ today, I could easily do rfc and get him 8-20, and something like ZF for 40+, but I don't really like doing those.
