I really have NO clue if this works or not ( have a 41 lock).
If you want to buy a regular mount ( like, pink hawkstrider, not amani war bear) but don't have the rep to buy one....
Make a lv 1 char.
Send 60g to him.
Get the lv 1 char to buy a mount and send it to your main.

So if you wanted the raptor, and you had a friend Exalted, he could just buy it to you.
This was the best. |

This was the best. | apart from said mounts used to cost 1000g on their own, for each one, theres been no real way to trick they system on mounts |

Reputation: 18 Level up: 50%, 251 Points needed | | | | btw, this didn't work back in the day, because u needed the riding skill 2, which made this not possible, the reason they changed it was because of people wanting more mounts didn't want to pay that much for it, the only way you could exploit it was buy a mount before the patch came and use the mount when it came.
If you remember the wintersaber mount, how hard wasn't it to get one as f.ex a gnome because you needed to grind the rep with them and darnassus to get the riding skill for the tiger:P
The only usage i found for this was get someone who's honored and rank 3 (as it was back then) to buy the mount for u and u got it 20% cheaper xD

IE:
I could have a Night Elf buy me a level 40 tiger, and have him mail it to me since it was BOE, but I cannot use it until I reach exalted with Darnassus and buy myself Tiger Riding skill.
People that don't know what they're talking about... FAIL.
