Problem with paypal (NCO mailed a notice of claim)
I can't even remember when I sold that wow account, been over 1 year.
Legitely sold, my own lvl 70 for ~80$
Today, I received from the mail this claim from NCO
They want me to send them the 80$ to them.
Anybody knows about them?
Should I just ignore them? Since I didn't fraud or anything , im the one who got scammed in this.
Are they legal? can they sue you in court?
Thanks

NCO financial? Who reported you to collections? Next time they call tell them you want verification of the debt. This will give ya 30 days in which to make a ceast and desist letter.

Yea Nco financials , I have read that I shouldn't worry about it t'ill they send me a Recommanded letter or something, wich is different than the one I received. this one has no legal value.
And many people reported that they stopped the calls and mails after awhile (If its a small of money, 20-100$ ) On the other hand, people in debt of 1000-2000$ reported being called over 15 times a day, receiving messages like theres no end and even more.
Also, if they keep harassing with phone calls / be rude , wich they do to scare you, you can sue them with a bunch of laws from the Collections agency or something.
Gotta check this out.

dont even talk to them. never go through NCO. they have no ethics and have been known for scams. my parents were 2 months late on cellphone bill ($400?) and this company found all our phone numbers and started calling us nonstop. they also called relatives and somehow found my google voice number.

Keep records. Check your state laws. NCO is known for violating FTC rules on Fair Debt Collections. They CAN be sued in small claims court for $1000 per incident.

If the problem persists, do nothing... maybe change your #, etc. If it gets worse (as in they start calling you 15+ times a day etc, and find out your # even if you change it...), call a lawyer, lawsuit, sue them. Find out all the laws they break first with your lawyer.

Being a lawyers son I experienced this once when we used paypal to buy a series of things involving selling my WoW acc, ect.
anyway we started getting the phone calls for debts, ect, for which they couldn't account for.
in the end we wound up threatening to sue them for harassing us and damaging our state of mind, ect.
Just threaten em with a lawsuit and they go away.

Not having the phone problem since I think the phone on my paypal was either my old's house one or either a fake one.
Is it possible that I stop hearing of them than out of nowhere in 3-4 months I'll receive a letter with something like 500$ instead of 100? I heard horror stories

This happend to me.
I sold x2 WoW Accounts, and I wasn't aware but the Paypal accounts I got paid with were stolen. I'm in Debt with Paypal $950 or so Dollars. They don't call me but I'm always getting letters from the Lawyers office saying Pay back or Legal action will be taken place. I'm not paying back, I have NOT done anything ilegal. So they can go **** there selfs. Beware of Paypal, there snakes.

Wow, its a good thing I checked online before actually sending money.
If I supposedly owe paypal money because I have a negative balance due to someone making a chargeback on me and me spending the money already, I shouldn't owe anything right?
