Or you could just collect all the blue and green drops and then at the end you tell them a false amount of shards that you received. Keep the extras and profit!
Same thing with specialists, like you always have a primal might handy and when somebody asks you to transmute it, you just give em the single in trades for their mats and hopefully you proc to their ultimate dismay.
