looks like you're missing a bit of texture information...

How exactly are you implementing the modified map? i've tried building the map for server side with ad.exe but the client is still reporting the map files as corrupt..

Try using this program. Do not follow the directions it gives you when you start it. Just log in and go. Also make sure your shader effects are turned off in the graphics settings.

If not then you may have corrupt downloads. Re-download the map files and place them again... This worked perfectly for our server after a little work.

lol your skills at modding are quite impressive i'll give you that. I could probably do similar, i did start on emerald dream myself a few months back. I just don't get enough time to dig deep enough into the file formats and whatnot.

I'm beginning to think it may be a problem server side.. everything i've tried including the modeleditlive has ended with crashing. Are you guys running ascent or MaNGOS?

This map edit is client-side. Servers already know ED exists as instance 169. You simply need to find a model edit fix that works for you (there's more than 1 out there). To give you the information you asked for however I personally use MaNGOS 4838 w/SD2 204 at the moment. (this is the 2.2.3 version). I'd upgrade to 4854 but I need time to see how well the model edit fixes work on the 2.3.0 client. So take in to consideration which client version and operating system you are using when you do your searching.

I don't see the model edit fix working on 2.3.0, Blizzard is now heavily determined to thwart such things and as such has made many changes to nerf it, such as no longer will Patch-?.mpq be read i believe. I did, however, finally manage to remedy the crash problem I was having.

Actually I tried it lastnight. Worked fine with the right fix under wow 2.3.0. (As AZO also said)

We did indeed love it!

I had an idea though if you're still adding to it. I was looking at the "grass" texture used in Zangarmarsh, the little grey mushrooms found all over. If you could flatten the texture+glow of those large mushroom models you used and mass-insert it as grass in the area beneath and around them, I thought it might look spiffy. Merely an idea to throw out there for ya.

Keep up the good work, we're looking forward to your future releases!

I have a few questions. First I know I am doing something horribly wrong, but I cannot get the map to come up fully textured. The terrain is there and the random world objects that you placed are there, trees mushrooms and all. There is some light-green texturing near the portal at the top of mountians and, I also have a fully textured area where the trees are floating; the dark green texture. Water looks great but nothing else seems to have textures. All I am seeing is the green (texture missing) stuff everywhere!?!? The road is also coming up untextured...

Possibly this could be a version difference? We are running our server at WoW 2.2.3.

Attached is are a few pics of what we are getting serverside.

I hate to bother you with this but any help I could get would be awsome. I am just getting into all of this stuff and hope to someday be able to produce my own maps!

I am using this with the latest Mangos rev. and I'm using modeleditlive to load the patch up. Any suggestions? We really wanna get this one working! Thanks again and +rep!

EDIT: IRnoob Sorry we just found your post about turning off the shaders to get the textures to work. Me and Arachnia will be developing your map as an outdoor raid instance, at least a part of it. Other part we will have to come up with some more ideas for. Thanks for the great map man and hopefully we can pass some of our raid instancing to you!

I LOVE THIS GUY! AND THE CHICK PERSON! i dont know you guys, but rock on, i would love to see the raid when its done! ^^ most def when its finished!
