Painted, but I use one of the game object repacks to spawn buildings (I haven't tried to use the guides here to spawn entire buildings quite yet). There's a few "pits" that I've created to enable "basement" rooms in some of the objects (Keeps and Inns both have "lower floors" below ground level).

This is my first "real" effort. I "opened" Tirisfal Glades (which took me about 15 minutes), but this is an actual new chunk of land (which took me a few days).
It's roughly half the size of Quel'Danas, I'd say, but I haven't compared yet. It is easily large enough to be a new zone.
If anyone knows how to edit the ADTs or add new zone labels, please, let me know.
Hmm no offense I mean wtf do i know about model editing and I know this is your first edit but I have to say not looking as good as it could.
Just making land isn't really that big of a deal, if you added buildings and like different things that would make it cooler it would be.
Also the texture seems a little bit rough.
Nice try but i suggest adding buildings and a new zone name, and a purpose.

dunno. i run a private server. noggit crashes on me every time. so this is cool as hell. i need more land.evertyhing else i can do myself. i think it looks unique and natural. so woohoo. thanks!

I don't mean to be mean, but, yeah, I do. It's people like you who make communities like this suck Lieutenant Dan's bloody leg nubs. Download Noggit, get it to work and make a map before you criticize.
@houseplant2: Thanks. Like I tried to say in the original post, I use Walshie's gameobject repack ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) because I haven't figured out how to use Cryect's Tools to add buildings to the ATDs, and the two guides I found for it didn't explain it clear enough for me. Most decent GMs know how to spawn gameobjects anyway, which means the island can be used for something.

Um alright leecher, also the fact that you can spawn buildings has nothing to do with model editing, it would be considered emulation and if that is the basis of your critiscism then you fail.

It's finished enough for some people, and suits my need just fine. If you don't like it... Do it yourself. Like I said, I didn't need to inject WMOs into the ADTs. If you do, I suppose that makes it YOUR problem, not mine.
It's real easy for some people to show up and troll something they see as "inferior" when they can't do it themselves. When you show up with a Quel'Danas sized island, let me know. I'll you myself.

this could be really good, just use cyrects tools (or w/e they're called) and spawn some .wmos in there, make it a huge city. ;o
i've been wanted to do the same with Quel'Thalas north of EPL
