Now that would be awesome. |

Reputation: 132 Level up: 95%, 39 Points needed | | | There are levels with renown and that will make it server side, i would think Mythic isnt that stupid to make that client side.
But be my guest and try.
Having items that you cannot get (e.g. level 40 with T1 rewards but no influence) is an easy Database error.

Was messing about a bit searching for values and stuff. Somewhere I did something wrong but this was more then I expected =P Actually modifying something on my screen.
I cant be sure but after messing around a bit I believe it actually might be possible to atleast grab third tier (crit talents) without having spendt enough points or something similar to this.
BTW, i attempted to modify the points available for spending. Tried the renown chart and stuff but couldnt really make it work there. So then I went on to trainer instead.
It would be pretty cool if you could modify yourself to have 80 (or more) renown points to spend! :P
As far as modifying the actual renown values I dont believe that would be possible but heck, I wouldnt have believed influence was possible either.. So play around as long as punkbuster is down folks :P Might have a huge break somewhere :P Man, having 400 renown points to spend would be awesomesauce! =P |

Reputation: 17 | | floodman and others, you put in the amount of influence that is required by the game, not how much influence you need. if the third reward required 32000 influence, the hex value you put in would be like 7D03 (32003) regardless of how much of that influence you already have. this is essentially telling the client what your influence number is, not giving it an addition/subtraction.
regarding xp and renown, I have not successfully modified those for real. there are server-side checks in place. I have found where those values exist client-side in memory through tsearch and you can change it client-side to make it appear that you get all the xp you need from killing 1 mob or all the renown, but it is a client-side appearance only thing. kinda like what tothxx is doing with the renown points, you can change the client to make it look like you have a lot of stuff you really don't, but it doesn't mean it actually worked. that's the downside to client mods
hit points may be partially client-side. trouble is, the regen makes checking for hit point values a bit complicated. what i'll try tonight is using the warextdll in a boss fight, take a tiny bit of damage and try to find out hit point location in memory from there. if anyone want to test before i get home from work, feel free |

Mythic is so lazy that PB will not detect it.

Thats just one big ass stupid bug from Mythic. | Agreed, it's stupid. Any MMO that trusts the client for anything of value like this is stupid. Great for us, stupid for them. This is my problem with Darkfall. It trusts the client too much.
But it does make me wonder if the client can be tricked into thinking you have, say, 10000 golden scarabs or medallions for buying gear. More testing to be done when I get home from work. |

Reputation: 12 | | | I think currencies is most definitely foolproofed. But perhaps you can trick the client in to thinking that youre buying one item and recieving another. Atleast that is a very common hack on wow private servers (which has far better security then WAR, lol) | | |
