Well I have not seen this posted before for all you hunters out there. This is a Misdirect macro I use for raids and thought it might be helpfull for you guys.

I do not take credit for this macro. One of the guys in my guild found it and I am passing it on.

The use if this macro is if you are given a MD target you do a /focus <name>. When you are ready all you have to do is target what needs to be MD'ed and then hit the macro and start shooting.

Example: Tank 1 wants you to MD Mulgar to him. You type /focus tank1
Then you taget Mulgar and then hit your macro and shoot Mulgar.

Allows for fast MD on the main tank.

just use this

saves a lot of space if you wanna make a fancy macro like mine...

what the /script does is checks if i have a focus and it friendly, it will set the variable to my focus's name. if no focus is found it will use my pets name. then it will broadcast that variable to raid warning.

the /cast will cast misdirection on my focus if it exists and is a friendly target. if not it will cast it on my pet

Sure some parts might not be needed but it works. I do my /focus <blah> at the start of a pull. When the raid leader is ready for me to pull I do not need to target the main tank and then go find what I am Misdirecting to him. (SSC trash is a good example)

I just target the Mob to be misdirected, hit my macro, and then arcane shot.

the /targetlasttarget is the Key to this.

The macro works like this: When you have the mob targeted to be MD'ed, the macro knows you want to MD whoever. It targets that person, casts misdirect, then changes back to mob you had targeted. All this happens in a split second.
