I'm a big fan of MrFishIt (Fishing bot) but I'm also very weary over my account; therefor I never actually go AFK when fishing becouse even though MrFishIt is undetected; players can still report me for suspicious behaviour (ie; not responding to tells)
I thought back in the days where I tried out Glider once; and that had an alarm for tells - searched about for a while, I found no viable thing of such kind - Therefor changed a sound in the addon 'ChatSounds' to the loudest/most unusual sound; that of you leveling up.
Quite proud I managed that much; it quickly became an great annoyance of all the sounds I was hearing it make with my computer's speakers on loud.
Once more investigated and found a mod one made to disable the trinket error noise; and after allot of snooping managed to duplicate how he disabled the trinket sound to me disabling the fishing noices.
Using the below will disable all the common fishing noices (casting pole, biting fish and looting); the only thing you'll still hear is MrFishIt using the pole every 10~ seconds - which I found a reassuring sound; knowing i've not disconnected or MrFishIt crashed - truelly feeling rest assured as I watch TV.
Instructions:
Download "patch-n.MPQ" into "\World of Warcraft\Data\"
Download and extract "ChatSounds.rar" into "World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\"
^ChatSound option panel is found here, use 'Hearts' for the *ding* sound.
