I'm wondering if multilate specc is better than Shadowstep on a dagger wield rogue in 2v2 and 3v3

I just switched to shadowstep, and I destroy. Top rogue in the world is Shadowstep.

EDIT- Go to warcraftmovies.com and look up Acrono's latest vid, hes shadowstep and amazing. I learned some neat skills from him.

It depends. Mutilate is far superior in terms of burst damage, but Shadowstep has more utility.

for now shadowstep is the more common arena spec cause it doesn't depend on the burst dmg because of high hp / resil you can't burst locks anymore that fast

It really depends on what comp you run with. Mutilate is outstanding for Rogue/Mage/Priest due to the ability to coordinate burst strikes during healer CC. Shadowstep is excellent for most 2v2 teams.

But since the OP asked specifically about dagger setups, Mutilate all the way. Daggers shadowstep is terrible.

You can try both:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I personally use Sub mut, because all the poison talents really help against Druid teams.

Mutilate is bad with any composition where you are the focus target. Go shadowstep if you're the one who gets attacked every time.

Like others have said, look at your arena team's composition, and decide which would be best, mobility or burst damage.

I would have to say shadow step is better for burst damage [a lot of it]. and mutilate is more of a balanced dps spec, er constant dps spec.

Ugh, stay mutilate with daggers, once you get enough points for s3/s2 weps, respec ShS and go maces. I own on my rogue with S2 maces and ShS, top out DPS all the time in BGs and have good rating on all teams.

shadowstep anything but daggers is known to be the best pvp spec, although i was mutilate for around 6 months straight and loved it, just respecced ss fist weps and trying it out

Shs is really good mut is ok but your kinda sub par when dealing with other rogues I've seen
