your DPS in raids will drasticly decrease with this spec. If you want a raid spec thats also viable in PVP (BG's mostly) go with 0/21/40

And SL/SL is best for pvp/arena.

I used that for a while.. not much good, Slowcasting shadowbolt will decrease your dps a lot!

(like previous. Remove all points from demonology, just leave Dem embrace and imp hs.
Remove Improved Lifetap in Affli tree and rather put one point in Shadow embrace and 1 in Supression.
Put 11 points in destro (imp SB, Bane, Shadowburn=
Use last point in supression, or anything else you like)



For PvE, It s one of the best till Late SSC or TK, where 0/21/40 will be better. This spec offers a lot of help to you and your group, whilist you can reach top dps with it.

11 points in destruction is a must for both PvE and PvP. In PvE it decreases SB and Immolate cast time by .5seconds which is a MUST. In PvP it gives you shadowburn, which is a nice top off while life draining.


Its not worth putting points in demonology just to get 30 spelldamage and 4s off demon summons. The destruction will make up for it.


(0/21/40 -> only when you get 160+ spell hit rating, 1k spelldamage and 20% crit. before that Affliction will outdamage it)

Considering ~40-45% of your damage in raids comes from Shadowbolts, even though you're affliction. I'd suggest you go for 43/7/11([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]). Depending on your gear you might have to switch around some points in Affliction, but it's fairly easy to reach a decent amount of hit nowadays.

It's the specc I used atleast when I wanted to perform well in both pve & pvp, and it didn't let me down.

Maybe, but not in T4/T5 Raids.
Your stats are too low, in T4 and T5 raids i recommen a classic 41/0/20 specc.

True, at T4 level gear and raids deep Affliction tops, later, at T5 it's more to Demonology and T6 is ofc Destro.
