My Paladin- Trees - All speccs, PvE and PvP! - 12-01-2007

Hello together!

We all know him, we all like him - The Paladin! A fighter against the evils, a good healer, and a good tank.. but how can you skill them? I will show you the best speccs for all three speccs, and i will show you a good PvE and a good PvP specc. I hope, you can use it..

Holy

PvE: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?0550312052013053105105023100000000000000005003000000000000000000
This tree helps you, to heal extreme good, and you can support your groop with an increased Devotion Aura, Wisdomblessing, Kings and increased Might- Blessing. In addition, you can put the improved Seel of Crusader on Raidmobs, so your raid gets 3% +Crit against it.

PvP:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?0555310250213053135105005100000000000000000000000000000000000000
This specc is good for healing in the Battlegrounds. You can deal a little bit damage, and your heal is good. Redupt and Toughness are skilled - With this you can life a little bit longer.

Protection:

PvE: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?0000000000000000000005305130500021325215510520500000000000000000
This is a tanking tree. You can life very long and you get many aggro. Reckoning is half- skilled, because in the high- equip Instances, it won't procc very often.. but 3 Points are given for it.

PvP:
No PvP- Tree, because Protection is only good for PvE.

Retribution:

PvE: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?5500000000000000000000000000000000000000005523035100033125331051
This is a tree for dealing damage in a group, or in questing. It's made for optimal Damage- Dealing and for getting Mana. (Santified Judgement, Divine Intellect).

PvP:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?5000000000000000000000000000000000000000000520535132033125331351
This tree is made for dealing damage at Battlegrounds. You are smashing magic back (Eye for an eye), and critical strikes aren't so hard for you. (Divine Purpose).

I hope, you can use them well!

Few mistakes in your trees.

For PvE healing, typically i'd give up Aura Mastery and one point in Imp LoH to get Purifying Power, cleanses are currently 177 mana, when you have to spam that you're eating away heavy at your mana bar.

For PvP holyspec, you're going to want to go down to imp concentration most likely, best aura for healing, ever.

For ret pve, unless you have a shitton of hit rating, it's usually best to go into the prot tree and grab precision for free hit rating.

Two(Threemaybe)/5 specs done right, close. :P

Yeah, these aren't that great >.< For PVP, whether it be Arena or Battlegrounds you're going to want to spec deeper into Protection for key talents.

Here is my pally's current spec.

Some of my protection points are based on a personal preference, just like other paladins.

I have quite a few problems with your Ret trees.

First, it's shameful not to have Prot points in either one.

Your PvE tree makes multiple mistakes. First, once again, you don't have Precision, which is just dumb. Guardian's Favor and Blessing of Kings also help prevent guild anger directed at you (although not necessary), and the amount of mana you will have on your gear is normally very low in PvE, so Divine Intellect is just a waste.

Your PvP tree is, in short, bad.

These are the trees you should use for Ret.

PvP- http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?0000000000000000000050321130023000000000000523035132003105331001
This is for anything other than a 2-dps 2v2. It gives a better stun, more mitigation, gives stun and dispel resist, gives kings, and leaves all important Ret abilities (Divine Purpose becomes progressively useless as you get more resilience, since they don't stack past 25% damage reduction).

PvP-
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?0550300250000000000000000000000000000000000523035132003105331001
This isn't a favorite of mine, but others use it. This is for longevity through healing. It gives you the ability to heal a partner in 2v2. Once again, it's not a favorite of mine, as it falls short in bgs, duels, and even some pve.

PvE-
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?5000000000000000000050300000000000000000000523005132033125331051
This is for strict pve. It gives the threat reduction of Fanaticism, leaves Pursuit of Justice to allow for easier fighting when mobs are running around, and it leaves in Divine Strength and Precision. Alternatively, you can remove 3 points from either Crusade or Pursuit of Justice to provide for Blessing of Kings.

As for Prot, I find that this spec would do better.
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?5000000000000000000050300000000000000000000523005102033125331051
It bothered me that you didn't spend points for Imp. SotC. If you don't have a Ret Paladin in the raid, that will be a nice boost for the entire raid and give you extra viability. Alternatively, you COULD switch it out for Shield Spec.

I am not a big fan of Reckoning to One-Hand Spec comparisons. That is a choice that you must make. One-Hand Spec will give more constant threat, while Reckoning will give larger amounts. Take your poison there.

The Holy Trees could also have some work.

PvP Holy-
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?0550310250310053133150025120020300000000000000000000000000000000
The problem that you had was that you were focusing too much on Holy Light and not enough on survivability. It's a GIVEN that you MUST get Imp. Concentration Aura, lest you be counterspelled (that way you don't have to rely on an item). Also, Guardian's Favor is important for any team that has melee (so they can actually do things). Light's Grace is alright for when you are bubbled, but you will be casting Flash of Light most of the time. Also, Redoubt is frigging useless in PvP. You might as well get Imp. Devotion.

PvE Holy-
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?0550312052013053105150023100000000000000005003000000000000000000
You did the best with this one. The only criticism I have is that you once again have Redoubt, which is ENTIRELY useless for you in PvE. You did alright with this spec, though.

I don't mean to be a jackass, but you do need more work on your talent trees. They weren't horrible, though.
