okay, I would like to know what the best PvE spec for going out on my own and grinding gold from regular mobs. I'ld probly be grinding elementals and beasts, and possibly mining, but thats about all i'ld be doing. very little killing on the humanoid part. What would be the best pve spec for that?

Use a ravager (+10%dps) spec cobra reflexes, growl, gore(50% c. 2x dmg), stamina and dump the remainder in armor. You'll have 15 points left for a minor spec if your grinding caster squishies. Don't waste your time with any of the other crap, I usually leave the 15 open until I need them on the fly.

If you can't get a ravager, cat (+10%dps) with claw instead of gore is next best choice.

This build is win at PvE and okie in PvP. I've yet to lose a dual, but I could just be getting lucky

Wind Serpents are excellent pets, especially due to their armor piercing Lightning Bolt.

Best pets are the Ravagers. They do amazing DPS in raids, only bad thing about them is that they have low stam. With bestial wrath on my pet crits for ~1.5k in raids (With Kill command)

41/20 is a really good spec, Survival can be more than amazing if you have the right gear and knowledge, but if I were you I'd go BM.

Theres not really a whole lot of tricks to DPSing as BM. Basicly spec 41/20/0. Go into the raid and spam the hell outta your Shot Rotation macro (provided below). Burn your Cool Downs everytime they're up. Thats about it.

yea, i just got it onto my hunter, and i must say, WOW! i didnt think it would have made that much of a difference. It takes a couple seconds off of the fight time... now i just have to figure out what to do about the ninja skinners..

Well it is dependant on your gear, but if you raid alot and have over 700 agility then specc 0/20/41 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], if not specc 41/20/0 (the one lag showed you)

You usually have over 700 agility with Black Temple/hyjal gear. By then I think the hunters know how to play their class.

like i said earlier, I am just using this one for killing stuff around nagrand and such, and very very few instances. I personally dont care about instances and getting geared because wotlk is on the horizon and dont care to put so much effort into something that'll be outdated as soon as i step into northrend.. if you know what i mean. Plus my server has jack for endgame content, the furthest anybdy has ever gone was on ally side and they just recently downed kaelthas (sp?) horde side they're barely to gruul, if that.

I know how you feel, I don't even think they've downed hogger on my server....

Well after Kael'thas you should clear like 3 bosses in hyjal on your first attempt/week and atleast get up to akama or something on the first BT week, then it is harder, but not being able to kill gruul is just freaking impossible, Kael is such a cockblock :<

I personally havnt gone into any bc instances.. (i lie, i went into botanica w/ a guild group and vowed never to go into a bc instance w/ people who dont manage aggro or refuse to let me trap) I swear, there is only 3 guilds that do actual instance raiding and they have full groups, and even they suck at it. the best tank on my server is a druid who is in fact, badass. and he goes guildless because everybody begs him to tank for them. Thats how bad my server is.
